Now I don’t want to get caught up in an existential discussion, here. The nature of reality and identity will have to wait for another day. However, just reflect over the last couple of days. We aren’t the same character from one day to the next, and on our more turbulent days, we’re not even the same character from one moment to the next.

Walt Whitman put it most succinctly, I think, when he wrote ‘I contain multitudes’.

We all do. We each of us ‘contain multitudes’.
