Thinking I knew how to build a shed and actually going ahead and really building a shed looked like it was going to be a bigger hurdle than I first thought. It turned out that I had an awful lot more questions than answers when I decided to give building my own shed a go.
I was pretty sure that the overall costs would be cheaper but I had no idea how to cost up the job, in fact at that stage, I didn’t even know what king of shed I wanted. Knowing how to build a shed was the least of my concerns.

My woodworking skills were limited at the time and once again, having an idea is way different to having a go. The last thing I wanted was a self built shed that fell way below the quality of a shop bought shed and could actually end up costing me more.
