Self Help Books - The Next Step
Which are the best Self Help Books for You?
It’s a great question and one which, as a writer and editor for an online self-help superstore, I ought to be able to answer. However, I’m afraid I can’t. What’s worse, I’m going to answer your question with a question of my own.
Self Help Books are what we live and breathe at The Happiness Superstore…
When you enquire, ‘What’s the best self-help product for me?’ what exactly do you mean when you say ‘me’?
Now I don’t want to get tangled up in an existential discussion, here. The nature of reality and identity will have to wait for another day. However, just reflect over the last handful of days. Think about a situation when you were relaxed (taking a deep bath, maybe). Think about a time when you were worked up (your computer kept crashing). Think about a situation when you were angry (your PC still kept crashing and the systems support guys suggested you try switching it off and back on again). Think about a time when you were happy (drinking great coffee with great friends). Mull over all those situations: was it in reality the same ‘me’ who occupied each of those little moments in time? Is the livid ‘me’ the same as the happy ‘me’? For most of us, the answer is no. We are not the same person from one day to the next, and on our more turbulent days, we’re not even the same person from one moment to the next.
Walt Whitman put it most succinctly, I think, when he wrote ‘I contain multitudes’.
We all do. We all ‘contain multitudes’.
So, why then do you think (or even hope) there is a self-help product out there that is perfectly designed for you, a best self help product?
Which ‘you’?
Luckily, there is a whole array of self-help books and motivating products out there, multitudes in fact. And not only could you find the best self-help product for you, you could find the best self-help product for all the’ yous’ you contain.
At The Happiness Superstore we’ll help you decide exactly what Best Self-Help Product for you is…
Best wishes. To all of you.
